What is Toastmasters?
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational
organization that teaches public speaking and leadership
skills worldwide. Headquartered in Englewood, Colorado,
USA, it was founded in 1924.
Today, Toastmasters has over 14,000 clubs in 150 countries,
with a membership exceeding 270,000 people. Guided by
the motto "Where Leaders are Made," Toastmasters
embraces diverse backgrounds and languages, helping
individuals improve their speaking, communication, and
leadership abilities.
Our Belief
GTD means "Getting Things Done".
We believe that communication or leadership is not merely a
body of knowledge, but also a skill that requires systematic and
long-term practice, much like any sport.
Therefore, the GTD Taiwan Toastmasters Club is dedicated to
fostering a positive and supportive environment that attracts
highly motivated individuals. We encourage our members to
hone their presentation and public speaking skills within our
community. So when going back to work, they can easily get
things done.
After several years of dedicated efforts, we are delighted to see
that our members remain vibrant and positive. They are willing
to invest their time and talents to help their peers grow.
Occasional gatherings like
visiting exhibitions, cooking
together or casual drinks.

Mentorship Program
It is a system where experienced members share their
knowledge and skills to guide newer members, helping them
adapt to the club and develop their abilities.
The program not only reduces the uncertainty that new
members may feel, but also gives seasoned members a
chance to rediscover their value. Additionally, it strengthens
the connections within the club, creating a win-win-win
situation.
